Social Recruiting Conference

Continuing our series of Social Recruiting Conference 2011 interviews, we speak with Doug Fraley, the Talent & Marketing Director of The Challenge NetworkThe Challenge Network (TCN), a youth and community charity that connects and inspires people to improve their communities. This year, TCN will recruit more than 3000 teenagers and nearly 1000 staff for summer programmes across London, the West Midlands and Northwest England

TCN uses a multi-channel staffing approach, emphasising online communication and process workflow with significant weight on social recruiting. Doug managed all marketing, staffing, systems and alumni operations in TCN’s first two years. The role of the alumni programme is central to the charity’s mission and integral to its long-term staffing strategy.

Before co-founding TCN, Doug led Google’s EMEA staffing programmes for two years. Prior to that, he was Manager of Professional Development for McKinsey & Company UK. Don’t forget to register for #SRCONF here and share with Doug his challenges and experiences.
