How many people look at their smartphone in bed before they get up - checking Twitter or Facebook? How many glance at various apps for news etc at the breakfast table or on their morning commute? Then there is lunchtime, the journey home and rest time in the evening infront of the TV etc. We are ever more connected to the web, through our mobile phone.
This CHANGE must be realized by the recruitment industry.

Will Winch: Mishcon de Reya
Will is a solicitor in the Employment department, dealing with contentious and non contentious matters. He acts for employers and employees, and many of his clients come from media, advertising and the finance industry. He is also a member of the Firm's Recruitment Group, advising recruitment agencies in relation to all types of employment issues.
Will has considerable experience drafting and negotiating service and compromise agreements. He has acted in claims involving discrimination, wrongful and unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and restrictive covenants. He also advises on the employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions (in particular, in relation to TUPE).
Will has a particular interest in training and development, speaks regularly at client seminars and writes on a range of legal topics. He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor, he worked in the film and television industry for several years.

Social media is now part of the fabric of doing business. Employers need to be aware of the dangers and opportunities this presents. The use of sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn has an impact on the way in which employers hire their staff, to the steps employers need to take to protect confidential information when employees leave. Will Winch will consider the effectiveness of a traditional approach to employment law in the digital age, and suggest practical ways of ensuring employers can keep pace with the challenges they face.

Jorgen Sundberg is the founder of Link Humans, a consultancy helping companies with social media strategy for recruitment and employer branding. His clients include recruitment agencies across Europe and HR departments of large multinationals in various sectors.
He was previously a Director at Red Commerce, Europe's leading SAP recruitment company where he helped achieve a turnover growth from £2 million to £55 million, growing the headcount from 22 to 104 employees, winning the Virgin Fast Track award three years in a row and securing a private equity buy out worth £16 million.
His knowledge within the recruitment sector and social media is evident from his blogs JorgenSundberg.net and The Undercover Recruiter, his speaking engagements at conferences, business schools and at large corporations. Jorgen holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Stockholm, speaks fluent German and native Swedish and has lived and worked in the US, Germany, Sweden and the UK.
