Wolfgang Brickwedde is the founder of the Institute for Competitive Recruiting (ICR), Heidelberg, which consults with companies on recruitment performance management. The ICR is acting as a platform for improving the recruitment function in Germany. This will be achieved by facilitating the development of commonly used standards and benchmarks for recruitment processes. In addition, the ICR is exploring improvement areas and consulting in the steps of sourcing, selecting and hiring of new employees.
Before founding the ICR, Wolfgang held Management positions at SAP and Royal Philips Electronics in the areas of Employer Branding and Recruitment for various regions and countries. Wolfgang has a background in banking and holds a masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg. He served as the speaker of the board of the queb (association of direct employers in Germany) from 2007-2009 and as a board member of the HR-Alliance from 2008 -2009. Wolfgang is a renowned speaker on the topics Recruitment, Employer Branding and Talent Management at various occasions and organisations.
